Welcome to WOWfit! I am passionate about empowering women to look and feel their best and my methods work. I am committed to offering the highest level of women's fitness weight loss in Kanata. I am a Personal Trainer nutrition coach in Kanata and I am a real woman like you, I have 3 children and I'm no spring chicken :)
I love fitness of all kinds now, but the journey has not been easy! I am a triathlete (Montreal Esprit Sprint Triathlon 3rd 2017, Xterra Off-Road Triathlon Lake Placid NY Sprint 2nd Woman Overall 2011, Ottawa River Triathlon Sprint 1st in category 2011), Spartan racer (Spartan Sprint Ottawa 2013 4th Overall Woman, Spartan Sprint Killington 3rd Overall Woman), hockey and volleyball player (just for fun!) and all-around fitness-lover but I haven't always enjoyed fitness!
Having children changed my body. Sick, high-risk pregnancies and joint pain that remained long after my three children were born made participating in sports and fitness difficult and painful. After my third pregnancy I was tired and sore, out of shape and feeling bad about myself. One day I was sitting on the couch eating crackers straight out of the box and I suddenly looked at what I was eating and thought, "What am I doing?" In that moment I decided I'd had enough with excuses. I dedicated myself to healing my body and becoming lean and strong.
In my fitness journey I discovered 4 keys to health and fitness success. I set goals and achieved them. I felt so amazing that I couldn't keep this to myself! I dedicated myself to training other women to achieve the same kind of results I had. Health is the greatest wealth and I believe that every woman deserves to look and feel WOW! So I created WOWfit - Women's Only Wholebody Fitness. My vision is to empower women of all fitness levels to greater levels of fitness in a positive community of women. For women's searching for fitness weight loss in Stittsville, Kanata, Carp and west Ottawa. And for those who love to be fit!

Hi! My name is Kathryn, a certified personal trainer and yoga teacher. Fitness has been a passion my entire life, from cross country ski racing to half marathons to hiking. As a type 1 diabetic, keeping active and healthy is my motivation to stay fit. I started WOWfit as a client in 2015 and just loved the format, kick boxing class and making new friends. In 2019, I was inspired to become a trainer and started coaching at WOWfit. I love creating creative, challenging workouts and motivating our women, however, the most rewarding part is seeing the progress and changes in strength and ability in every woman from week to week.

I joined WOWFIT to get whole-body strong! Growing up I was always a little "small" and as an adult I didn't want to be the "weak one" any more! Since joining over 2 years ago I've completed a Spartan Super, a Tri-Obstaclon (mountain bike, lake swim, trail run obstacle course) and have even taken up wakeboarding! Nothing compares to the feeling of being able to take on a challenge you never thought you could do. Knowing that you will not only complete it – but you will complete it with everything you have because your body and mind have trained for it. That is what WOWFIT has done for me and what I hope it can do for other women. I love training women and coaching them to achieve their best. I love the positive energy and fun of our training. The inspiration that each woman brings to our workouts is contagious and sets off a domino effect – inspiring others to join, to set goals, accomplish those goals and then set new and more challenging goals you never thought you could do before. We all have different goals but the foundation is based on health and getting to enjoy everyday life a little bit more. My favourite part of seeing women achieve their goals is the smiles – women who are happy, healthy and want nothing less than that for those around them. I love the friendships I've made at WOWFIT and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
